Day 2 of our trip was just as fun. We made sure for breakfast to get Jamba Juice, and Einstein bagels, the kids refused anything less! They loved riding the trolley up and down the 16Th Street mall. There was some great shops that we had to go to. We also went to the Denver Natural History Museum. They had an amazing Dinosaur exhibit, Ethan loved it, a Pirate exhibit, India, exhibit (James favorite), and a Mummy exhibit. I am so happy our kids love to go to museums! It started to snow/rain hard after the museum so we ate lunch across the street from out hotel, and then went back to our room to watch movies. The kids loved it!

The Best Birthday Ever!
Olivia's only wish for her 9Th Birthday was to go to the closest American Girl Doll Store, and get a new doll. We are happy to report that wishes do come true....and the Larson's headed for Denver
.
After much deliberation, mediation, and rationalization, Olivia finally decided on Kit. Kit was able to get her ears pierced while we were there (something Olivia is desperate to do, but has to wait till she is 12).
After selecting her doll, we were able to go to Panda Express...something the kids always look forward to when we go out of town.
One of the things my kids like the best is watching the Food Network channel, particularly Challenge, a cake decorating show. We found out that one of the judges from that show, has a restaurant in Denver, and Olivia thought it would be great to try it out. We walked to it from our hotel room, 1.2 miles, and I thought the kids were going to die....luckily they didn't and the walk was well worth it.
James found a little treat across the street from our hotel....a Pinkberry. I won't tell you how many times we went there, but let's just say, I think they made a pretty penny off the Larson family.

Happy Anniversary...17 Years Baby!!!
17 years has gone by in the blink of an eye! I am one lucky girl. James surprised me by planning a little trip to Vegas..... Just the two of us, no kids, just us..... it's been a long time!
We had a peaceful drive, no fighting children, but I had a husband that wanted to stop at any historical marker, any neat rock formation, basically anything. It seemed we were going no where fast. Our first big stop was to the damn near Lake Powell. I have to admit it was beautiful.... but I was anxious to get to Vegas.
Finally we arrived!James made dinner reservations at a place that he had discovered on his last business trip. It is an Italian restaurant named Circo and I have to admit it did not disappoint

We had a great time!!! We stayed at the Wynn and James arranged for us to have an amazing suite. We shopped too much. Ate too much, and had way too much fun!

Two Years....Down
Well, it's official. We have now lived in our house in New Mexico for two years!
What can I say about it......It has been a wild ride emotional, physically, and financially.
The first year was definitely the hardest. To many hard things happened in our lives that it made it a challenging year.
But the second year......more changes....but better! I still miss my tiny little cottage like house on Mesa Madera Court, I miss my family and friends horribly, I still miss just about everything in San Diego. To me it is home.
I have grown in ways I never thought I would. My kids are enjoying their lives here, making friends, and growing up too fast. We all have been blessed!
It has been a good year and I look forward to seeing what the future has in store for the Larson Family!

Teeth...Why are they so expensive???
It's been a rough month here at the Larson house regarding teeth!
I had to have some oral surgery on an abscessed tooth
which wasn't so bad....but the noise was horrendous.
and then....
We took our 3 dear children into the dentist this week
to have their pearly whites cleaned.
No Cavities!
No Problems!
but.....
The Larson's spent $2300 on teeth this month!!! OUCH
We are just happy that we have a dentist here,
after all
no Carls Jr., Nordstrom, Panda, In n Out, Anthropologie, etc.......
I should say that we are grateful to have teeth too!

Wicked!
She had never seen it before and was so excited to go.
Morgan made all of us shirts.....dang cute shirts I might add.
Olivia's shirt had Dorthy's cute red slippers and said "What ever happened to those red Slippers"
My shirt was super cute too! It had Elphaba on it and said "defy gravity".
Great job Morgan.
We went down with Aunt Tammy, Katie, baby Kayl, Morgan, Ally, Virginia and two of Morgan's friends.
We got there early enough that we were able to go to the MALL!!!!! Olivia was able to find a pair of Ruby Red Slippers....It completed here outfit for the play. We did some shopping, Olivia got an Orange Julius, and then it was off to the play. On the way home we stopped at Panda Express......o' it's been a long time!
Olivia kept telling me that it was the best girl's day ever....except for baby Kayl there (who by the way is the best baby ever....I don't think we heard him cry once)!
While we were there we heard some interesting news......FARMINGTON IS GETTING IT'S VERY OWN OLD NAVY. Now for all my California friends this is trivial, but for us Farmingtonites....it's some of the best news ever. We are really moving up in the world, we are also getting an Aeropostle, and a Yogurt store too!!! WOHOO!

Happy New Year
We had a great day today. We woke up early enough to go through the De-Christmasfication process. Wow, that is a lot of work....I just kept thinking....11 more months till you do it all again!
When we were all done, James went out and bought some sleds and we hit the snow. Our friend has a lot with a nice hill on it and he said we could do some sledding, and sledding we did! The kids loved it. They kept going up and down, up and down. I'm pretty sure they will sleep well tonight. Elijah kept saying, "This is the best day ever." Hopefully it will be one of those memories they don't forget.
